Hand Engraved Rolex Milgauss
I engraved this Rolex Milgauss for a client in Colorado. Deep relief scrolls and running leaf designs surround this cool watch! Watch engraving takes a lot of time and concentration. Not easy but then again, if was easy anyone could do it! Always fun to get the response from my clients when they see the finished product. Makes all that staring into a microscope worth it 🙂

Just finished hand engraving this really cool Ball watch! The collector who sent it to me gave me full artistic discretion and asked me to surprise him. Rolex Band Engraving
I was commissioned to design and engrave this Rolex band and clasp with the theme of the “5 Elements” which are five states of matter. The densest one is the solid state, also called “earth”. The second state is liquid, “water”; the third is “fire”; the fourth is “air”. The fifth state is usually not seen as an element in the West. However, it is the subtlest form of matter and is called the ether of space or Akasha. A challenging and fun project! Hand engraving stainless steel Rolex bands is not the easiest thing to do but I always enjoy the challenge. My client loves it 😊.
Custom Rolex Engraving
A really cool client in Chicago commissioned me to hand engrave his Rolex Milgauss. The case and band are engraved with old fashioned scrollwork and running leaf design. The engraving is done in deep relief fashion and like usual I cut a bit extra deep to give the design a rich three dimensional look and feel. Takes a lot longer this way but well worth the effort in the end I think. My client asked for some personal design on the caseback which included some names and dates along with the logo for the Hamster Motorcycle Club of which he is a proud member. He is extremely happy with the end result. Makes all the hours worthwhile 🙂
Hand Engraved Swiss Hublot Watch
Before and after pics of a Hublot Swiss watch project I completed for a customer in India. Deep relief hand engraved titanium and stainless steel transformed the look and feel of this well used watch. Hublot creates a very distinct and unique watch which makes a nice canvas for engraving! The watch case is made from both stainless steel and titanium parts which makes the hand engraving a bit challenging but fun 🙂
Rolex Band Engraving
I was commissioned to engrave this Rolex band for a thoughtful customer who asked me to include some design ideas that are very important to him. Intersecting lines to represent crossing paths with people throughout life. The wellness triangle and an old ship that represents death which seeks us all but is a part of life. Many hours of design work and hand engraving go into a project like this but the end result is worth every minute! The customer and I are both very happy with how this Rolex band engraving came out. Certainly a one-of-a-kind Rolex watch!

Watch Engraving – Tribal Motif
I was commissioned to hand engrave this Rolex Milguass with a Tribal motif. It certainly is a one of a kind design. My client and I went back and forth until the design was just what he wanted! I engraved this watch with deep relief background removal which gives it a real 3-dimensional look and feel. Takes much more time this way but the results are nice I think. Hand engraving watches is always a challenge because the stainless steel is usually much more difficult to cut than other softer metals. But, the engraving will last a lifetime without wearing off like laser engraving or even shallow hand engraving does over time. Thanks for looking 🙂

Rolex Watch Engraving with Flaming Scrolls!!
I was commissioned to engrave this fine Rolex watch for a customer who is in the fire protection business. He loves the old style scroll and leaf designs but he asked if I could incorporate something related to his business. Thus I came up with the idea of hand engraving flaming scrolls and a few flames engraved on the lugs. I also engraved 3 letter monograms on each side of the band. Lastly he asked for Fleur-de-lis designs in the clasp. Personally I really like how this design came together and my client is quite happy as well. As always, Rolex watch engraving is always challenging and time consuming but well worth the effort in the end. Hope you like this hand engraved Rolex as much as I do!

Hand Engraved Audemars Piguet
I was commissioned to hand engrave this fine Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch for a wonderful gentleman in Europe. He asked for a Japanese Tattoo theme including a tiger and some Koi fish. The Japanese Kanji characters all have personal meaning for him. The entire case and band of this watch is made from high grade titanium which is light and beautiful but certainly challenging material to engrave. Over 200 hours of hand engraving in deep relief fashion went into this project. My client is thrilled and so am I.
Hebrew Rolex Engraving
I had the pleasure of hand engraving this Rolex Milguass for a customer in New York who requested a very interesting theme. He asked for wave patterns that would remind him of his home near the sea as a boy. He also chose some of his favorite Hebrew verses and symbols. Laying out the Hebrew text was fun and challenging! Laying out the text on each link from right to left and fitting each verse onto the small links was stimulating for me to say the least! Learning and hand engraving the various Jewish symbols including the Hamsa was really cool. The hand engraving on this Rolex stainless steel watch is done in deep relief fashion and took well over 100 hours. Adding Hebrew Rolex Engraving to my repertoire was well worth the effort.
Vintage Rolex Hand Engraved
I was commissioned to hand engrave this vintage two tone gold Rolex for a great customer in Panama. He asked if I could include a “heart motif”, wings and wheels, some scrollwork and a bear which represents his family crest. What a fun project to try and bring those things together on this stainless steel canvas! Hand engraving a vintage Rolex is not for the faint of heart. The stainless steel is actually much harder and tougher than the new Rolex watches. This is certainly a one of a kind watch and my customer is quite happy with it.

The hand engraving took well over 100 hours and is done in deep relief style which is extremely time consuming in Rolex stainless steel. Rolex Caseback Hand Engraved with Gold inlay
This project was done for a really great customer who wanted to personalize his Rolex watch. A 24K Gold inlaid 3 letter monogram with a hand engraved border of oak leaves and acorns inlaid in gold.
Samurai Rolex Engraving
This project was commissioned by an overseas customer who requested a hand engraved Japanese/Samurai design. The Japanese characters represent the clients name and are very meaningful to him. Each part of the Japanese design are taken from ancient Japanese culture. Hand engraving the stainless steel Rolex case and band in deep relief style is not a simple nor easy task. The metal is quite hard and the carbide graver needs to be sharpened and re-sharpened countless times. But, the end result is a unique one-of-a-kind Rolex watch that can be treasured forever.
